Chief executives today face a number of challenges in the boardroom. The Board of Directors Program (BOD) build the skills required to enter a boardroom today. Providing the needed understanding of the fiduciary, legal, and ethical oversight responsibilities, and develop strategies to best represent shareholders and stakeholders.

The BOD is designed to develop a solid and deeper understanding of how to manage the present while developing the future around increased regulations, pressure from activist shareholders, and corporate governance reforms. Learn cutting edge strategies, procedures, concepts and best practices for making complex and crucial board decisions in uncertain times. The aim is to enable both seasoned and aspiring board members to excel with an in-depth understanding of the role of Board of Directors, and how corporate boards work.

The BOD will evaluate the role of the board in strategy development, evaluation, and evolution. Build an understanding for prudent legal strategies to navigate litigious environments, and how to formulate strategies for managing CEO succession and evaluating executive compensation.

By examining today’s corporate board challenges, the BOD program position prospective board members, committees, and individual directors to positively influence your company’s direction and shareholder performance.

The BOD program is developed by the Global University Alliance as a second of tree integrated board execution path. Successful completion of the certificate enables participants enroll the Board Effectiveness Program and to become alumni of the Institute of Outperformers, and join an exclusive international network of senior peer directors who stay connected with the Global University Alliance and its faculty for continuous exchange on research and practices.

This program provides the latest thinking from some of the world’s most knowledgeable boardroom veterans on how directors can best make a leadership difference.

The participants will be led by faculty and distinguished practitioners and trusted advisors to some of the worlds most successful CEOs, serving on the boards of Google, Gazprom, World Economic Forum and United Nations.

Through practitioner-led lectures and first-rate networking with other boardroom leaders, participants will discover their own pathway for leadership success.


The Board of Directors Program is offered as 2 modules x 4 days with 1 day of individual coaching.

The tuition fee per participant is €19.200 and a minimum of 12 participants are required. Not included are travel, accommodations and food expenses.

Providing executives with a practical hands-on setting to explore the latest thinking, practices and techniques to immediately apply new skills.

Between the two modules, a personal Board of Directors Profile Assessment and 360 degree Board of Directors Assessment combined with individual coaching and a personal development plan will be completed to ensure competencies go beyond the classroom.
